President Basha, participated at the ceremony of 11th graduation of the Third Generation University (dell’Università della Terza Età) in Canicattini Bagni. The President of the American University of Sicily, Prof. Sami BASHA, on the 17th of June 2019, participated at the ceremony of graduation of the Third Generation University (dell’Università della Terza Età) in Canicattini Bagni, which was also attended by the Mayer of the city (Marilena Miceli) and the council’s President (Paolo Amenta), the highest leadership of the region, heads of various institutions, as well as by the president, Prof. Carmelo Di Mari. The President was a note speaker at the ceremony, in his lectio magistralis addressed two themes of current relevance: cultures and the encounter. An intervention that focused on poles that represent the bases for a fruitful social encounter: «the strengthening of one's historical and cultural identity and openness to the other based on the desire to know each other and respect each other in a dialogue that makes all citizens of this country part of the society”. Later, the President participated at the official commencement ceremony.
